Saturday update
Yesterday was an exhausting day. His procedure went well, but it took longer than we expected. Lots of doctors coming in to explain things. Not sure how long he'll be in the hospital, but will keep the drain for at least 2 weeks. Then follow up with a colon/rectal surgeon to evaluate healing, etc. This whole thing is surreal. He did not have any pain or fever, just weak and sleeping all the time. Thankful for quality medical care in our area!

Be sure to take care of you too!
Being a caregiver can be tuff…. He has people to take care of him while he is in hospital. Take advantage of that to give yourself some self care.😎
