New Caney Elementary Celebrates Ribbon Cutting at New Campus

New Caney ISD celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new, New Caney Elementary on August 17th, marking the beginning of a new chapter for one of the community's longtime schools. The new campus follows the closing of the original New Caney Elementary, which served generations of students, families and educators.

District leaders, staff, students, parents and community members gathered for the celebration. Student speakers Stella Rudolph and Emersyn Tharp also took part in the ceremony. The ribbon cutting officially welcomed the community into the new campus and celebrated the next generation of New Caney Elementary students.

@txmusil : I guess this must be the newly completed elementary school in Tavola West. I thought it odd that there's an elementary school in Tavola and another in Tavola West.

Just hope that they allowed for growth of the student population in all those new houses in the upcoming years. When Humble ISD was at the peak of building in new neighborhoods, they had some almost new schools with portable buildings on campus.

I guess good for them and glad they got another open, same time, I feel like less and less kids and more and more doubting schools overall
