Oof. As I told @Bloom , I canned some peaches today. Holy moly, peaches are a LOT of work!!!

They are now in the water bath canner, so we will see how they turn out. It was a happy relief from my current shituation. DH has been gone since Friday, and hospice *hopefully* comes back in tomorrow. I'm not entirely sure with the holiday, but we will see.

I've never canned peaches, but I've canned plenty of figs at my last house. I had some huge fig trees, but here, I can't seem to get them to grow for squat. If anybody has a fruitful tree, I'd love to barter, preserves for figs. Or heck, I'd even buy the figs outright if you give me a price that I can handle.

Thanks!! I need to repurchase canning stuff but would gladly do that. The fig preserves you buy at stores just don't cut it.
